James Osei-Owusu and Nathan Zaidman were 2 among 23 to receive awards for the Young Investigators’ Day Program. Young Investigators’ Day was established in 1978 to recognize young investigators who are trained at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and to provide them with a forum for their work.

James received The Martin and Carol Macht Research Award

Nathan received The Alfred Blalock Research Award

Congratulations Dr. Qiu!

Dr. Zhaozhu Qiu was named a 2020 Sloan Research Fellow. Johns Hopkins molecular biologist Zhaozhu Qiu named Sloan Research Fellow.

Awarded annually to the brightest and most promising young researchers across the U.S. and Canada by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Sloan Research Fellowship is among the most prestigious awards available to early career scientists. Qiu is one of 126 scientists selected for the honor this year.
