My research focus on the production and degradation of the dipeptide repeat proteins (DPRs) in C9ORF72-ALS/FTD, whose accumulation is known to be toxic to neurons. I am particularly interested in investigating the modifiers of these processes by different screening approaches in neurons. This understanding will provide important insight on potential biomarker and therapeutic strategy development.
