Research Interests

I am trying to find out the genetic basis of clinical symptom heterogeneity observed among Wilson Disease patients by analysing the polymorphisms of functionally linked pathway genes. In addition to this, I aim to identify any novel genetic changes present in the long distance regulatory elements of ATP7B or in the coding regions of related copper metabolism genes, among the atypical Indian WD patients who do not harbour any coding mutation in ATP7B gene.
