Research Interests

NHE6 and NHE9 are endosomal subtypes of the Na+/H+ exchanger gene superfamily (eNHE) that have recently been linked  autism and neurological disease. The goal of my thesis is to establish a functional link between eNHE and Alzheimer’s disease through a mechanistic understanding of the role of endosomal pH in amyloid pathologies.
